The skinny on pants
We need to have a serious discussion about pants. Because the shape of them is changing right in front of our eyes…and really, some of us are not paying attention. We know it’s hard to kick a habit , especially one that has been around for so long, and has been adapted by just about everybody….and we mean everybody!! We are talking about skinny pants. Yep….the one’s you have been wearing untill they fall apart, the one’s that were so comfi you bought them in various colors, cropped, high waisted, leather, suede……those! How easy it was….just put on them skinnies , an oversized top, T, cardigan, jersey and you had a look…at least for during the week , while doing your daily business. Well …things have changed and it’s time to welcome change..change is good. But , this one needs some getting used to and some real commitment. The wide leg pant has arrived and is here to stay (at least for a while). The thing you need to keep in mind while embracing the wide leg pant is that you are not going for the sexy ” look how thin my legs are”, look. It’s more of a “I am sophisticated and comfy in my body” look , and I don’t mind looking classy. Don’t be afraid to tuck shirts in or…… wear a wide shirt on top too! This last one I warn you, is not always very popular by the male counterpart. But… can really work soooo well if you wear it with some good heels and a slouchy attitude. And remember when you told yourself that those skinny’s were soooo comfortable…well try this look and you are hooked. You can’t open a magazine these days and it is all about the comfortable cosy winter coming up in fashion and we are telling you…it starts with the pants! Heaven on earth has finally arrived…at least for a winter !PS don’t toss out those skinny’s quite yet…
